Anita Briem, an Icelandic actress is well-known. Anita Briesm, a Icelandic actress, is famous for her portrayal of Jane Seymour (the young woman who will later be the spouse to Henry VIII) in the television show The Tudors. Also for the character of Hannah in the film Journey to the Center of the Earth. Briem was 9 when she started acting in the Icelandic National Theater. As a child actress, she was a part of various plays, in radio and television shows from her homeland of Iceland. Briem began her career as a child actor at age sixteen when she emigrated to London. Participated in the adaptation of Lenin and the Count of Monte Cristo, performed in Love by the New End Theater. At 19 years of age, Briem was accepted at the famous Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, which she attended over the next three years and where she earned a degree in drama and the John Barton Prize in the category of Scenic Fight.
